Joey Molland (born Joseph Charles Molland, June 21, 1947) is an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter best known as a member of the rock band Badfinger.
Early Career: Before joining Badfinger, Molland played in several Liverpool-based bands, including The Merseys. He eventually joined Badfinger in 1969, replacing Pete Ham's previous bandmate.
Badfinger Years: Molland's addition to Badfinger helped solidify their lineup and contributed to some of their most successful albums, including No Dice and Straight Up. He co-wrote several songs with Pete%20Ham, including "Take It All," and "Sweet Tuesday Morning" which became popular album tracks.
Post-Badfinger: Following the breakup of Badfinger, partly triggered by financial difficulties and the tragic deaths of bandmates Pete%20Ham and Tom%20Evans, Molland continued to pursue a solo career and formed various bands, including Natural Gas and The Dodgers. He also occasionally toured with versions of Badfinger, sometimes sparking legal disputes with other former members or their estates about the use of the band's name.
Solo Work: Molland has released several solo albums, showcasing his songwriting and guitar skills. He remains active in music, touring and recording. His work often reflects the influence of his time with Badfinger.
